The Crew 2 Gets 98% Discount. Ubisoft to Add Offline Mode to TC2 and TC Motorfest After First Part Scandal

The original The Crew was taken away from players. It seems that Ubisoft has made some conclusions after the reaction of players.

Ubisoft shut down the servers of the game-service The Crew. Buyers were deprived of the opportunity to play it, and later the company took away the right to launch the game altogether.

This has led to a scandal and some are even trying to reach out to the authorities to change the status of games-as-services and oblige publishers to keep such projects operational. It seems that Ubisoft has learned its lesson.

An offline mode is planned for the current The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest, but nothing has been announced for the original (the game was removed from sale long ago). The news should be shared in the “coming months”, and nothing has been said about the launch date of the modes.

The Crew 2 also recently received a 98% discount on Steam and the PlayStation Store, for example.
