Insider Daniel Ritchman has uncovered a new leak about upcoming X-Men projects. According to him, the studio is planning a near-total reboot of the franchise to distance itself from the previous films. It will be a welcome new beginning, but oddly without Wolverine.
A source said: “I’ve heard that the current version of the UCM X-Men reboot doesn’t include Wolverine at all.”
Marvel Studios previously revived the mutants in Deadpool & Wolverine, which rescued the characters from the defunct X-Men saga. This allowed them to debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and gave the company the opportunity to develop new stories about the superhero team in the future.
