Where to Find the Furnace Creature Talisman
The developers from FromSoftware kindly added a huge number of talismans to Elden Ring, which can make your passage much easier, and in the Shadow of the Erdtree add-on, which is better not to even poke around until level 120, there are almost more of them than in the main game. One of the most useful of them all is the Talisman of Crucible Creatures, as it combines the effects of several medallions at once, but finding it will be extremely difficult. Therefore, we decided to dedicate a separate guide to finding this unique talisman.
LOCATION OF THE TALISMAN OF THE CRUCIBLE CREATURES
The Talisman of the Crucible Creatures is located in the wilds of the Ruins of Rukh – an extremely confusing location in the northwest of the map, which is a huge labyrinth permeated with thickets, caves and secret passages.
First, you’ll have to get to the Shadow Haven tower and defeat the Golden Hippopotamus there to gain access to this location. Since this path is quite long and extremely confusing, we’ll outline the route in brief and attach a video for clarity on how to get there from the nearest waypoint.
But to get there, you’ll first need to cross the bridge from the Place of Grace “Ruins of Rauch’s Abbey, East”. But be on your guard, as there’s a Furnace Giant looming ahead, preparing to attack.
We already told you how to defeat these giants in one of the previous guides , but if you don’t want to fight him, you can just gallop past.
To avoid the fight, simply turn right into the ruins of the temple complex, from which you will get to the point indicated on the map above “Ruins of the Rauch Monastery, West” – from there you can get to the secret storage where this powerful talisman is hidden.
HOW TO FIND THE CHEST WITH THE TALISMAN IN THE RUINS OF RAUCH’S ABBEY
From the last Place of Grace, head into the temple and ride up the stairs, then turn left and then right until you see an elevator at the end of the hallway.
Once you get up the elevator, immediately turn left, where you will find a cliff and a cluster of columns.
Jumping on them, you will reach the ruins in an open field, where you will see a square hole in the wall, inside of which is the reserved chest with the Talisman of the Creatures of the Crucible.
PROPERTIES OF THE TALISMAN OF THE FURNACE CREATURES
When you get this talisman, you’ll see that it combines some of the best buffs in the game, but in exchange for a serious debuff. It’s basically all the Crucible medallions in one, so you don’t need the others.
Specifically, it reduces critical and headshot damage taken, and increases the effectiveness of your roll and dodge. However, these three properties come at the cost of significantly increasing your damage. Even so, the Furnace Talisman is one of the best not only in Shadow of the Erdtree, but in the entire game, as all of its benefits together offset one major drawback.
