According to some sources, the series’ rating after the first season was quite deplorable, and it lost almost half of the fans of the Tolkien universe. By the beginning of the second season, the number of fans had decreased completely. However, despite the low ratings, the creators do not intend to stop and plan to continue the story of the series until the fifth season.
At present, as Amazon itself states, the rating drop does not affect the series views in any way. According to the creators themselves, their project was watched by about forty million viewers in about 11 days. The company also notes that the second season will soon be among the top five successful seasons on Prime Video.
The first season was released in 2022, and the first few episodes were quite successful, with over 2 million viewers in a few days. However, after a few episodes, according to some sources, the series’ views began to plummet, as did its ratings. The second season hit the big screens at the end of August 2024.
