Star Wars Outlaws can be completed in 30 hours
Star Wars Outlaws creative director Julian Gerity spoke with VGC about the length of the action. He stated that the game could be completed in 25-30 hours. According to the developer, Ubisoft Massive decided on this segment from the very beginning. Star Wars Outlaws can be completed in 30 hours
Gerity added that if desired, Star Wars Outlaws can be played for 50-60 hours if the player wants to complete all the side quests, try out third-party activities and collect collectibles.
This isn’t an Assassin’s Creed epic with 200 hours of gameplay, so this allows us to focus on the details, focus, perhaps with a smaller team, on making something accessible and playable.
The creative director of Star Wars Outlaws also said that swimming was cut from the game at a certain stage. Gerity stated that the mechanics were removed at the request of the animators. This also affected the overall scale of work.
But all the mini-games that we have – I don’t know if you played Sabac or the arcade games – were not originally planned, they were added during development, so we definitely made compromises.
Star Wars Outlaws will release on August 30th on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Enhanced Edition owners will be able to start the game three days earlier.
