Dead Rising , one of the best zombie apocalypse games of all time, is getting a remaster. Originally released in 2006, the game was re-released in 2015 with an HD remaster. Now, in 2024, the ‘Deluxe Remaster’ version will be coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC later this year. Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster announced. Here are the details!

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Coming This Year

In a short trailer released the other day, Capcom offered a brief glimpse of the remake of the game that caught the attention of many almost twenty years ago.

Dead Rising kicked off a series of open-world zombie apocalypse games that dominated the genre for nearly two decades. With unparalleled levels of violence and more outlandish weapons than you could possibly imagine, the Dead Rising series has left a deep mark on gaming history.

The last Dead Rising game was released in 2016 and while it didn’t achieve the same massive success as its predecessors, it did gain its own level of popularity. Since then, the series has gone quiet.

Now, Capcom is getting ready to make a small gesture to its fans by introducing Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. It has not been confirmed yet when Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster will be released, only that it will be released sometime this year.

The trailer shows off a “completely new look” for lead character Frank West – including a noticeably changed face. There doesn’t seem to be any sign of original voice actor TJ Roloto reprising his role, either.

Frank’s new look looks more like his character model from Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite, but some fans aren’t too happy with the change. You can watch the trailer in the player above.
