Game Updates

Manor Lords now has authentic medieval pigs that are different from modern ones. Beta patch 0.7.995 is out

When creating Manor Lords, attention is paid to various details. The developer took into account some historical features related to animal husbandry.

The medieval city-building strategy Manor Lords continues to be gradually developed under the Steam Early Access program. Recently, they presented update 0.7.995, which is currently only available in beta format (you will need to switch to the “BETA (pre_release)” branch in the game properties on Steam).

New animals have appeared in Manor Lords – pigs. However, they do not look like many might expect. Developer Greg Styczeń commented on the design of the models:

“By the way, before you start criticizing – as far as we know, medieval pigs were different from modern ones, they were closer in appearance to wild pigs or boars. They were made like this on purpose :)”.

In terms of gameplay, pigs are the “analogue” of goats – they can be bred in the same pen where goats were previously bred (you are offered a choice of which to breed). Pigs give 2 units of meat every 150 game days, and goats give 1 meat and 1 skin every 150 game days.

They published a couple of images – a screenshot with pigs and a drawing
